Small dogs are much akin to rodents in my mind. Also dogs seem to be a bit more work than cats to take care of, and i know this is going to sound retarded, but I'd prefer a "lower" maintenance pet. Oh well, hope you enjoy your new dog. I would love a pet myself, but I also in the area of low maintenance preference so I would be considered a cat person as well. Golden Retrievers are actually one of my favorite dogs and that one is extremely kyooote. I also wish they would stay puppies.
