kuhla
....of your bank account ..... AND GOT AWAY WITH IT This shit really deserves it's own thread. Serious. It is too epic to just talk about it in post anything thread. June 24th - July 4th They seem to have most of it organized into packs separated by developer, like they have done before, so here are the links: Summer Indie Packs - http://store.steampowered.com/sale/Summer_Indie_Packs THQ Pack - http://store.steampowered.com/sub/4587/ Valve Complete Pack - http://store.steampowered.com/sub/2546/ Codemasters - http://store.steampowered.com/publisher/Codemasters Rockstar - http://store.steampowered.com/sub/4247/ 2K Pack - http://store.steampowered.com/sub/4589/ Call of Duty Pack - http://store.steampowered.com/sub/4594/ Star Wars Pack - http://store.steampowered.com/sub/4593/ Square Enix Eidos Mega Pack - http://store.steampowered.com/sub/4583/ Ubisoft - http://store.steampowered.com/publisher/Ubisoft Atari - http://store.steampowered.com/publisher/Atari Capcom - http://store.steampowered.com/publisher/Capcom Kalypso Media Digital - http://store.steampowered.com/publisher/Ka...Media%20Digital Meridian4 - http://store.steampowered.com/publisher/Meridian4 Focus Home Interactive - http://store.steampowered.com/publisher/Fo...e%20Interactive SouthPeak Games - http://store.steampowered.com/publisher/SouthPeak%20Games Strategy First - http://store.steampowered.com/publisher/Strategy%20First NC Soft - http://store.steampowered.com/publisher/NCsoft 1C Company - http://store.steampowered.com/publisher/1C%20Company Global Agenda - http://store.steampowered.com/app/17020/ (not sure why this one was promoted alone) TellTale Everything Pack - http://store.steampowered.com/sub/4600/ Introversion Complete Pack - http://store.steampowered.com/sub/4603/ PopCap - http://store.steampowered.com/publisher/Po...%20Games,%20Inc. NovaLogic - http://store.steampowered.com/publisher/NovaLogic JoWood - http://store.steampowered.com/publisher/Jo...%20DreamCatcher EPIC - http://store.steampowered.com/publisher/Epic%20Games,%20Inc. id Pack - http://store.steampowered.com/sub/440/ Paradox Interactive - http://store.steampowered.com/publisher/Pa...x%20Interactive I left at most only 2-3 developers out who had like only only very casual games. Almost every one of those links above has green sales numbers all over them. No green = No sale = No good. Times I like I wish I was filthy rich because I'd probably buy just about all of it. For me personally, just at this time (expecting list to grow as I re-read everything above): === Likely to buy. $ 7 - Beyond Good and Evil - http://store.steampowered.com/app/15130/ $ 7 - The Witcher - http://store.steampowered.com/app/20900/ === Have to think about it a bit. $27 - Street Fighter 4 - http://store.steampowered.com/app/21660 $14 - Assassin's Creed 1 - http://store.steampowered.com/app/15100/ $27 - Assassin's Creed 2 - http://store.steampowered.com/app/33230/ === Quite unlikely to buy but will consider. $10 - Colin McRae DiRT 2 - http://store.steampowered.com/app/12840/ $14 - Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 - http://store.steampowered.com/app/13510/ TOTAL = $96 The DiRT 2 deal runs out today anyways thought so yea very unlikely to buy. kuhla
haha Clive Barker's Jericho is $2. Alpha Protocol $34 today only. Yea, keep an eye on the daily deals too on the front page: http://store.steampowered.com The steam store is off-and-on dying and I've seen people posting about delays on purchases, etc. Seems like valve's servers are getting hammered. introversion complete pack $5 (defcon, darwinia) I've heard DEFCON is fun and I downloaded a copy of Uplink a super long time ago because the concept intrigued me but I never got around to trying it. Jedi2155
I'd only get Metro 2033 and DoW2 Chaos Rising if I got it . Damn last years THQ complete pack. JEebussss! Though its more games than I can ever play! *edit* I'd love it if someone else bought Dirt 2, so I can play with y'all online!
kuhla
I didn't think Witcher was a daily deal but the price has doubled for some reason.... still will probably buy though...
kuhla
Global Agenda - http://store.steampowered.com/app/17020/ (not sure why this one was promoted alone) source - http://kotaku.com/5574443/the-fastest-swit...history-of-mmos The company has decided to keep the game subscription free, with major content updates delivered via optional paid expansion packs. "Hi-Rez Studios is committed to delivering the best value in PC gaming", said Todd Harris, Global Agenda Executive Producer. "In addition to all of the game's initial launch content, we are bundling nearly 6 months' worth of post-release content and features and including that within the single-purchase game. One purchase of Global Agenda lets you experience this content forever with no subscription." Not going to lie.... that EVE Online: Tyrannis deal is tempting me too.... $2 mang.... a large drink at a drive through costs that much

kuhla
game is new and exciting and really, for $2 how can you say no if you're even remotely interested in sci-fi? At the $2 price point, I certainly understand what you are saying but to be clear, the number one reason I have not tried Eve previously is because the excessive "training" (i.e. large sets of time logged out of the game) required to progress seems like a very cheap mechanic to make you feel invested in your character. In some ways I would even consider it worse than mindless mob grinding to level.
Jedi2155
Still a ton of things to do without thinking of the training part. I also like that mechanic.
Malaphax
Street Fighter 4 for pc 10 dollars. I may actually buy this even though I suck at fighting games.
kuhla
Street Fighter 4 for pc 10 dollars. I may actually buy this even though I suck at fighting games. FUCK YES. Bought. I was waiting for this. This is why I'm waiting until July 3rd with each of my planned purchases so that if they do a daily deal at a lower price I can grab it. EDIT: Just a note, some people have mentioned that for a few specific examples, the prices have been bumped up which is nothing to do with daily deals. I think this is what happened to Witcher so if the price is too good to be true and you want it... buy it asap before adjustment lol. Malaphax
Depends on how desperate you are for a new shooter. The game was relatively mediocre. The specific abilities (brick's punching, mordecai's hawk, siren's phase shift) all end up killing people far better than any of the best possible weapons (especially at max level). The DLC that I know of is a pve arena, a halloween island with zombies, and a setting with new weapons and some bosses. Realistically, I'd say avoid it. I can think of games far better that are on sale. In fact I'd highly recommend bionic commando rearmed, that game was immensely fun considering it was a straight rip of the original (that I never played) with new graphics. Also the comedy/tone was pretty fun. I'd much rather spend 7 dollars on that than 11, or even 22 on borderlands. Also with the fact that pirated version can play online... and the online was pretty much an xbox port... I'll leave it up to you.
