Jedi2155
One thing that has always bugged me is posting pictures/files on our forum would require us to upload it separately. I think your hosting plan offers a lot of storage space so it would beneficial for us to have a more comprehensive upload feature for image hosting primarily. If you think you could implement this it would be awwweeeeesoomee

Jedi2155
Okay, well, it seems our current system works well enough but our limited storage is only 500 KB total.... I was thinking something along these lines originally... *images will be added later because the attaching files result in a Error 407 now*
kuhla
Testing. EDIT: I'll see about changing file storage limits.
kuhla
What limits do other people see on attach files? I get: "You can upload up to 46.56MB of files (Max. single file size: 10MB)". I don't see a specific limit per member group but I haven't checked everything just yet.
kuhla
Checked with malaphax. Found per member group limits. Set them to higher, what I think are pretty reasonable new limits. Let me know if they are high enough and we can go from there.

Jedi2155
I have a 10 MB maximum upload limit. I think would be reasonable to set it at around 500 MB?
kuhla
You do realize that 10MB is the PER POST limit right? As in 10MB in one post and a max single file size of 10MB. This is not a global limit. There is no global limit.
Jedi2155
When I was posting files before there appeared to be a global limit as when I posted the first picture earlier, it indicated a maximum limit of 250 KB from my original 500 KB after posting 1 image. Whatever you did earlier seems to have changed things.

kuhla
I forgot to reply to this the other day. I have not seen a specific setting for total global attachment limit or total forum size limit so for now it is unlimited to the best of my understanding. The limits are by group and by post. I figure with 10MB someone can put up a large, unedited photo or a zip file but for larger files or a gallery of photos, probably should look at other sharing options on another website. If we need to change the limit down the road, we will see. If anyone has more suggestions, please let them be known in this thread or another. Jedi2155
10 MB per post is plenty I think. I was just worried it was a lifetime limit for the user account. That was how it was on our old forum.
Jedi2155
Is there any way to disable the pop-up when clicking on embedded images? I can't right click and copy image location whenever that thing comes up and its super annoying.
Malaphax
Works fine for me.
Jedi2155
I found the problem. If your RIGHT-CLICK or if you click outside the border of the image first, then attempt to click on the image, it actually defocuses the context manual and gives the options for the background. I guess I've always done this every single time. I can get this to occur repeatedly.

It will open the picture again but in a new window from it's source so you can easily copy the URL in the address bar then.
