Which part of the gpro is too big? Length? The G305 is not as long (almost 1 cm less) but it is the same width and height. It's shaped almost exactly like the gpro-wired but the G305 is wireless. Exact same sensor so no performance loss there. If you swap out the battery for a different one then it's very close to the same weight as the gpro. kuhla
https://imgur.com/Ly89SKM No. Don't do this to me. Not the Viper. Not Razer. The old Viper has been literally the benchmark I have been using for years as the most comfortable mouse I have ever used.

Malaphax
I believe this was posted in group chat, but I'll add it here for completeness. Logitech's newest keyboards are low profile switches and keycaps. Most likely still using their own romer G switches, although the pictures look very similar to kailh low profiles. G815 $200 (Wired): https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-keyboards/g815-low-profile-rgb-mechanical-gaming-keyboard.html G915 $250 (Wireless): https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-keyboards/g915-low-profile-wireless-mechanical-gaming-keyboard.html While I'm super satisfied with my logitech wireless mice that use their "lightspeed" wireless technology, I think it's damn steep to charge $250 for a wireless mechanical keyboard. That being said, even if you wanted to build your own (which can be way more expensive) you're going to be limited to bluetooth which means you can't game on it, or you're stuck with wired. Also, I find it a little bit disgusting that they're still fiddling with micro-usb instead of jumping to a type-c connector, especially for that cost - it just comes across as cheap. Speaking of craziness, I might do something silly like build my own mechanical keyboard at some point in the future, although I'm currently satisfied with the two I own. As a small personal project I might try building a macropad first: https://keeb.io/products/bdn9-3x3-9-key-macropad-rotary-encoder-support?variant=15959960944734 If I end up building the macropad, I'll take plenty of pictures and post about the process. Seems like a decent starter project to get my feet wet.
kuhla
If the G815 got below $100 I would consider it with the tactile switches.
Jedi2155
The G915 looks yummy but i agree $250 is far too steep. If i'm going wireless I'd want to replace my G502 for another G903 as well.
Malaphax
I watched this review of the g915 and he does specifically mention that the keys are "co-developed" with kailh.... so you're paying a shitload of money for chinese switches that logitech are rebadging. I'm curious if they'll stick with their romer-g stuff for their main lines or if they've decided to go with chinese manufacturing instead of japanese (Omron) moving forward. kuhla
Nice keyboard but those switches look really really similar to the kailh switches I have...... but I paid like less than 1/3 the price....

kuhla
New mouse from a big name but it just continues the disappointing track record for Steelseries. Steelseries Sensei Ten https://steelseries.com/gaming-mice/sensei-ten Very safe shape and good sensor (probably) but it's a joke to have a wired mouse and call it "lightweight" nowadays when it weighs 92g. Remember that Logitech Gaming Pro wirelss is 80g which makes one of their FAQs especially funny: Quote Why is it not wireless? We believe that the Sensei Ten would not feel like a true Sensei with the additional weight of wireless. We focused on giving it the best sensor possible and increasing its durability, all while lowering the weight to a 92g form factor.
Malaphax
Logitech released their newest keyboard with swappable switches. I'm a little bit concerned because they mention "GX Blue Clicky" and I'm trying to figure out if this is proprietary bullshit (strong possibility) or if it's them desperately trying to avoid saying they're kailh switches and they're charging $50 for 92 chinese switches (you can buy them for roughly $0.25/switch). https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-keyboards/pro-x-gaming-keyboard.html https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-keyboards/pro-x-keyboard-accessory-kit.html

Malaphax
Razer released a new mechanical keyboard recently. It's still got proprietary optical switches and a weird wire stabilizer per switch that I haven't seen before, but several people on the /r/mk sub think it's halfway decent. Malaphax
I don't want to start giving razer too much credit but it does seem like they're releasing some decent peripherals. Sidenote - I understand the move towards optical switches on mice as a fix for debounce issues that a standard mechanical/contact switch might run into. I have a feeling more companies might begin shifting towards the optical switches as I have heard of some minor issues with double clicking or weird debouncing problems - although some fixes have been allowing users to manually set the debounce times which is a bit risky. From a keyboard perspective, I'd be interested in seeing if we'll eventually move away from the default cherry stem (I actually like the idea of the kailh box stems) and possibly implement cherry style switch with an optical element rather than a electric contact element (note: not the flaretech implementation that's an ugly half-step). There's also advantages with the ability to create optical switches with analog properties, which is sort interesting but also silly, because anyone who wants that level of control would probably use a different input device like a racing wheel (technically an analog stick on controllers have finer control on character speed but that's another weird edge case). kuhla
Not recently but I have personally had mice become unusable because of double bounce issues so it's a very real longevity issue imho. I mentioned this before but the Endgame XM1 mouse tries to address this by going "analog" but it kind of wierds me out.
kuhla
Zowie Mouse Fitting Kit https://www.zowiedirect.com/mouse-fitting/mouse-fitting-kit.html Ok. That is kinda cool. It's almost exactly like the Warby Parker thing for glasses. They send you a box of 10 mice in different shapes and sizes and you have about a week to test them and then return them all. By the end you should have a pretty good idea of what size and shape works for you. For $10 I think I'm going to do it....
Malaphax
https://www.anandtech.com/show/15367/ces-2020-cherry-unveils-viola-mechanical-switch-for-lowcost-keyboards Cherry is making their own "cheap" box switches. They're marketing this as an alternative to rubber dome switches so they must be ultra cheap. Note that they still have a cherry stem, but I'm not sure if that means they'll fit standard keycaps with that large box housing. Here's a Kailh's box switch for comparison. These do support standard keycap sets.
Malaphax
tl;dw people prefer different switches so you're probably better off buying a switch tester and figuring out what you want.
Jedi2155
So working from home has resulted in me typing a LOT on my Logitech G613 which feels great, however twice now I was typing and where my fingers were sticky enough that it literally PULLED the key cap from the switch cover causing it to fly across the room including this after while I was in a call. The connectors for those key caps are terrible. Great feel design terrible reliability IMO. I might have to choose a different keyboard in a while but I still really use the logitech G keys for mumble but with a G903 mouse I could just use the side buttons for PTT.
