put around 8k miles and moving from front wheel drive platform to non full time 4wd is pretty interesting.

i cant hardly break any traction and the system is very fast that i hardly notice any slip no matter how much i mash the gas from stand still. and cornering is super confident too. less push. prob still understeer on the limit since its a fwd bias and heavy at the front.

at the end its still not a BMW and i was fine with it for street use at least.

one thing i notice is that i like like how vw calibrate the throttle pedal on the GTI. mk5-7 its much more responsive and predictable; but i think part of it is that the bigger turbo on the higher output 2.0 has slight turbo lag. it feels much more linear on the GTIs vs my old A3 and the S3. not sure why.

edit: can one of you admin could change the topic of this thread to Audi S3 or something like that thx

I'm going to agree with you and prefer linear pedal responses but with a little bit of power near (not at ) the beginning is also fun.

I've found myself liking pedal responses from the following: (from best to worst)

Chevrolet (Volt, Spark, Sonic, Tahoe)

Toyota (Camry, Prius, Sienna, Highlander)

Honda (CR-V, Civic)

Hyundai/Kia (Tuscon, Sportage)

BMW (i3 / 328i)

Buick (Century)

Ford (Mustang, Focus (FCEV, EV), F550, Transit Connect, NEVs)

Never driven a:

VW

Mercedes

Chrysler???

Fiat??

Tried but don't recall:

Nissan (Leaf, Versa)

I have linked this before but if you look on here ( http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre-Tests/ ) it scores in the middle or upper-middle of many tests (dry, wet, rolling resistance, noise, etc.) but is often one of the cheapest. The best tires in those tests are often cost 50% more per tire. Value.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S has scored #1 in a few recent tests.
