This thread is for whenever someone wants to get food (whether lunch, dinner, movie or something along the lines).

Is anyone interested in going to a good steakhouse in Corona Del Mar?

I'm debating going there for Wedding Venue.

I completely forgot about this.

After having it reccomended to me by coworkers, I checked out Jersey Mike's since there is one in Fullerton. It's a chain that sells cold and hot subs. It has been compared a lot to Subway but "better". I will say this, I think the quality of the ingredients is better (cheese, meat, bread, etc.) and it's neat that they offer a "giant" size which is bigger than Subway's footlong but they charge a lot more for everything. I payed $13 and change just for the sandwhich was giant size but I did not custimize the toppings (I often ask for double meat at places I go to). With a medium drink I think it ended up $15 total. Yes it's a bit better but I think hat is kind of a lot just for a standard sandwhich and a medium drink at a fast food place.

Sidenote: If you pay with a card, their payment system has an additional step before you can complete the transaction: on the point-of-sale card machine it has a whole screen dedicated to "Do you want to add a tip?" with the "No tip" bottom all the way at the bottom with a bunch of reccomendations. I don't think I'm being stingy when I say that I don't tip at Subway. I'm not tipping at Jersey Mike. In terms of what the employees are doing to prepare my meal, it's identical. It's fast food. I'm a little annoyed they seems to mak a point of pushing that.

Ate here on Saturday: http://www.yelp.com/biz/mr-katsu-fullerton-3

A bit expensive. Sandwhichs are kinda different. Bread is tasty. Potato puffs are meh. I had all american breakfast with pork, egg, syrup and other stuff. Was tasty. I may have it on long rotation though because of price. Quantity was decent. They have a $20 sandwhich is like many inches tall supposedly kinda massive.

I will be making an effort to expand. Trying new places.

This was a filtered search malaphax and I were talking about the other day. Posting here for documentation:

EDIT 4-20-15: Noticed something. When clicking on "Sort By" and changing it to "highest rated" or "most reviewed" then only the top 40 are listed but if you leave it on "best match" than there is no limit. New link with the list as "best match" below.

Way behind on updating this thread. Related to the list I linked previously:

1) What’s Up Men - I'm not exactly a ramen conniusouir. It's what I expected it to be. Tasted fine. Small place so best to eat and leave. It's busy.

2) Tempo Urban Kitchen - Varied menu and it leans a little towards Mexican style. They claim to have a partially seasonal menu. Portions sizes were a bit above average. I had a pretty simple dish so don't really have much to say about this one either.

I can't think of any others but I may have forgotten some in the meantime.

Their mixed drink selection seemed interesting/diverse. I enjoyed this place, although I noticed that much of the menu seemed to lean towards spicier food. I'd be interesting in going here again.

i dont, lets proceed with that yelp list you guys got, or if you craving something specific.

Just confirming: 8:30 or so is not too late for you?

If no, ok then, I'll look at the list and see what we can considering trying next.

If yes, I would recommend tomorrow instead of today.

Keep in mind that list is basically a risk every time. Could be good. Could be bad. Could be nothing special.

At some point I want to try this because it's supposed to be a proper deepdish pizza pie. Not just thick crust "deepdish" like a lot of the chains do. Nothing fancy. Just a small pizza place.

Everyone seems to have eaten here except for me. Supposidely it's pretty good but it's just sandwhiches so definitely not fancy.

Wouldn't be a proper list with out a sushi place.

Steakhouse. Knowing the area around it, I imagine this would be kind of loud (it's next to the Slidebar in DTF).
