kuhla
Trailer is both a decent representation of the show and the book. imdb - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2548418/ book - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_Strange_%26_Mr_Norrell I just recently finish the book (I was supposed to post about that here), which I found a fun story, and then found out there was a TV show adaptation of this so I had to check it out. Luckily it is on Netflix. Although I enjoyed reading the book, I think the TV show has a major issue: It's really really accurate to the novel. There is not much that is adapted. The problem with this is that there are scenes omitted from the show but they are not described or substituted some other way. I feel back for people that have only seen the show. They must be confused some of the time or find a scene particularly jarring when suddenly people are talking about something like it's a big deal but this is the first time you are hearing about it. I have the luxury of having read the book so I already know.
kuhla
Finished it. It was not long. This is definitely one of the most faithful book-to-video adaptations I've seen. It's decent but I think it would have been better for non-book readers if they had been less faithful to the source material.
