Malaphax
Quote An in-depth look at how the United States government handled the response to the COVID-19 outbreak during the early months of the pandemic. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13065386/ If you're in the mood for some doom-scrolling I guess this is a good option. The documentary is decent, not great, but they clearly lay out some of the exceptional failing of the US government's pandemic response. Unfortunately, a good deal of reporting came out between this movie's release and now, including sections of Bob Woodward's book that shine an even nastier light on how badly things were botched by the trump administration. This film does come off as lacking some of the depth of the other reporting, it uses more broad strokes to cover the issues. I appreciated that they not only interviewed several people from the Obama administration but also pointed out some of the failings that those health officials ran into during their tenure. There are some rather clear political biases shown in this documentary, it's not quite a michael moore film but it plainly displays a disdain for the trump administration.
