i'm up for basically when-ever/where-ever...(breaks into shakira song)... ummm but enough of that. Yea either way it's gonna be packed this weekend so maybe we could go to amc where we have more of a chance and camp out some tickets (such as buying them up to an hour early, and then grabbing some in and out or maybe some costco food) But yea count me in on whatever you guys want to do.

I think both places will be packed this weekend since there are I think 3 semi-major movies coming out. The real debate I think will be for which night is best. Opening nights can be either very good or very bad. Good in the sense that they may be very quiet, really eager to enjoy to the movie or it could be bad in the sense that all the immature high school kiddies (no offense, you know what i mean by immature kiddies) will be there being idiots because its the "in" thing to do.

completely understood. Hell i'm basically the only one still in high school and more than a few of those comments are true for the majority of high school students. But yea, i'll leave this up to the majority. But i still suggest getting there and buying tickets at least an hour earlier, there is plenty of places to eat nearby at either place.

I want to go to edwards cuz otherwise i'm never going to use these tickets.....i'll give one of use guys a discount too! $5 for the ticket! There are no restrictions on it as far as I know (so opening weekend should be fine).

I don't see whats wrong with the highschool kids thing....but then I never did understand you guys on that subject. So whatever.

Its not so much which theater richard, but which night? If you want to go to edwards thats fine, I think malaphax and Me are for the most part fine with whichever theater, we are just worried about which night. Thank fast! Today is Friday... :D

Thank Fast? lol...

So if we go today, i'd be up for the 10:05 or 10:40 showing, if we go tommorow, i'd be up for any time.

LOL! Check out this thread!

This might as well have been titled "Republicans = Nazis." Classy and intelligent propaganda--I mean, entertainment--from Hollywood, as always. I wonder when we'll see a mainstream media outlet produce a comic and movie with a message that could similarly be titled "Democrats = Communists." These are the typically accepted extremes of the "right and left" or "conservatives and liberals" (although I'm not conceding totalitarianism is in any way related to American conservatism...just stating the generally "accepted extremes"). Yet, you'll never see the dangers of "extreme liberalism" (communism) presented in popular entertainment without apology or justification.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid the average movie-goer will think no deeper than what is presented to them on the screen and will be too lazy to actually read books about what each side believes (in "real life") and why. Watching a movie is so much easier.

Anyway, more disturbing to me than the stretches to draw connections between Americans fighting the War on Terror and the Nazis exterminating an entire race of people (Jews never attacked Germany, nor has America experimented on or attempted to exterminate any groups of people) was the justification of terrorism and blaming of America and conservatives for the actions of terrorists.

That aside, most disturbing to me was their labeling V as a "terrorist" but not simply because doing so blames America and conservatives for the "creation" of terrorists. What truly infuriates me is that calling him a terrorist indirectly implies that the 9/11 terrorists were simply misunderstood revolutionists. This is a subtle and nauseating message to be sending. Whereever you stand on the political spectrum, whoever you blame for the creation of terrorists, no one with a conscience can excuse the actions of the 9/11 terrorists as simply misunderstood acts of revolution. To do so is inhuman and against civil and human rights beliefs supposedly held by conservatives and liberals alike. For this reason, I hope people of all political beliefs recognize and speak out against this one subtle message of this story. However, judging by the ridiculous rating on IMDB, I won't hold my breath.

P.S. I know Michael Moore didn't make this. That was a joke.

this topic is now about cookies

my favorite is macadamian

Personally, I'm partial to molasses cookies.

"Personally, I'm partial to molasses cookies."

Who likes molasses cookies? Your terrible taste in cookies must mean that either your an elitist snob or your so mooronic that you've never even tasted good cavier or read Shakespear before.

Sugar cookies rule. Now and forever.

Chocolate chip cookies are the best ever. Its a fact. CNN did a huge story on it last week. Oreo's, however, are also a reasonable favorite.

Molasses cookies? Sounds intriguing...I'm more partial to mint-choc-chip cookies. And, of course, Oreos. But its hard to find 'em in Bonny Ecosse...
